Assigning
and Removing Volunteers from Shifts |
| |
| |
Festival Manager 2005 enables you to schedule 'active' volunteers by assigning them to shifts that have been created for each venue and day. In the example shown below, we see the 'Available Shifts' on February 4, 2005 for Central Registration. The 5:00 PM shift to 8:00 PM has been selected and the details of that shift along with the volunteers currently assigned to the shift are displayed on the form. |

| |
To assign additional volunteers to work this shift, you simply select the name of a volunteer in the 'Available Volunteers' list and use the Assign (<<<) button. The volunteers name will appear in the Assigned Volunteer box. Conversely, to 'unassign' a volunteer from a shift, select the name of the volunteer in the Assigned Volunteer box and use the Remove (>>>) button. |

| |
To prevent overbooking of a shift, once the Assigned Volunteer box lists the number of volunteers required for the shift, the Assign button is disabled. Similarly, to prevent double-booking of a volunteer, once a volunteer is assigned to a particular shift, the volunteer's name will not be listed in the Available Volunteers list for any shift with conflicting times. |
